Leslie Wu
President

Leslie Wu grew up just across the river in Vancouver, Washington. She was raised in a household of three older brothers, her mom and dad, and her yeye. As the youngest and the only girl of the siblings, she began playing piano and violin in elementary school to keep up with her older brothers and show them that she could do anything they could do. She grew up watching her brothers play cello and violin in YSE, PYCO, and PYP concerts before auditioning into the groups herself. She took violin lessons from Erin Furbee and played in the organization from 2006-2011.
In 2012 Leslie attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degrees and in 2015 attended the University of Washington’s School of Law. At the law school, she was president of the Moot Court Honor Board. She clerked and externed for a Federal District Court Judge, the Federal Trade Commission, the US Attorney’s Office, and for the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office. She met her husband, a Seattle native, in college and convinced him that Portland was the best city on the west coast. They settled in Southeast Portland and welcomed their first child in 2023. Leslie currently works as a Deputy District Attorney in Multnomah County and regularly listens to classical music, especially during trial preparation.
