Noreen Murdock

Noreen Murdock began her career in arts administration when she was introduced to the field during her time as an undergraduate. Since then she has served as Executive Director of Salem Chamber Orchestra for six years (after having served as Orchestra and General Manager for two years prior), Development Director at Chamber Music Northwest for two years, and was thrilled to join the PYP team in 2016. She has helped bring to life hundreds of performances of all sizes, from solo recitals to large symphonic choral concerts, special events, and a variety of educational and collaborative projects.

Noreen graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Music from Willamette University as a collaborative pianist, and was a highly sought-after accompanist for music students of all levels. Combining her passion for music with her interest in administration, she also received an MBA from Willamette. Noreen was sequentially a pianist, teacher, and board member at Willamette Girlchoir (Salem, OR) for six years, and was a member of the Willamette Master Chorus for three. She is a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan, a runner of both roads and trails, and lives with her husband and two cats in Portland.
