Denny Richard
Development Director
Denny Richard is a music and arts nonprofit administrator, performer, and community leader with a career rooted in both artistic excellence and organizational growth. As a youth, he was a performing member of the Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps and Emerald Marquis Winterguard. Denny has combined his passion for music with his education in Accounting, Finance, and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University in Boston to guide arts organizations with both creativity and strategic vision.
As a longtime leader and performer (clarinet & colorguard) in the Rose City Pride Bands, Denny has also served as Acting Executive Director, Treasurer, and Producer, helping move the organization into financial stability, expand audiences, and host the international Pride Bands Alliance conference. Their leadership and advocacy have been honored with the International Pillar of Pride Award from the Pride Bands Alliance (where he currently serves as Treasurer) and the Cecily Bartlett Stonewall Memorial Award from Rose City Pride Bands.
Outside the arts, Denny is an experienced wilderness guide and outdoor educator, certified in wilderness medicine, who thrives on adventure and resilience. He also hand-built his own tiny house. He spends as much time as he can with his dog and cat.
