Hunter Skowron

Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Hunter spent many summers at Tanglewood, where he was inspired by the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s incredible performances. His family moved to Manhattan, New York, when he was an early teenager. There, Hunter immersed himself in the local music scene and learned to play various instruments.

Hunter channeled his passion for music and photography into earning a B.A. in commercial film and video production in Southern California. Being close to Los Angeles opened many doors for him to work with numerous musical acts, leading to the creation of his own record label. He also served as a band and tour manager for a trio of classical guitarists.

In 2013, Hunter moved to Portland and quickly integrated into the local music scene. He became the production manager for the Alhambra Theatre, a 600-person venue in SE Portland, where he managed all aspects of many sold-out shows. He also assisted with production at the Crystal Ballroom and Star Theatre on occasion.

With over a decade of experience as a record label owner, tour manager, and marketing and creative director, Hunter possesses a deep understanding of the intricacies required for PYP to excel in marketing and branding. Although new to the organization, he is eager to dive into what makes PYP special and help elevate their presence into a new century of musical excellence. When not working, Hunter spends his time shooting photos and developing them in his home darkroom, and spending time hiking with his girlfriend and son.
