Sheena Kalia

Though born and raised in Canada, Sheena has proudly called Portland home since 2006. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta before moving to Portland to complete advanced training in pediatric dentistry at OHSU.
Today, Sheena owns and operates a pediatric dental practice in Northeast Portland, where she is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and welcoming environment for children and their families. She also serves on the Board of Dentistry and as an examiner for dental licensure candidates.

A lifelong music enthusiast who studied piano as a child, Sheena is the parent of two young bassists. Her daughter, Riya, performs with the Portland Youth Philharmonic. Outside of work, Sheena enjoys running, training toward her third-degree black belt with her children, and supporting their activities in soccer, basketball, and tennis. The family also dotes on their miniature long-haired dachshund.

Sheena is honored to serve on the Portland Youth Philharmonic Board of Directors. She believes strongly in the power of music education to build discipline, confidence, creativity, and community, and is proud to support an organization that has had such a meaningful impact on young musicians and their families. She looks forward to contributing her professional expertise, collaborative leadership, and commitment to community engagement in support of PYP’s mission and continued growth.
