Master Classes
Throughout the school year, PYP musicians participate in masterclasses and coaching sessions led by visiting artists. Many of these sessions are open for observation by other students and the public at no charge. Attending a masterclass is an excellent way to learn by watching and listening to a master teacher work with a student to expand her or his understanding of technique on an instrument.
Guitar Master Class - November 10, 2026
We’re excited to welcome Gwenyth Aggeler to Portland, OR! In addition to performing as our featured soloist in the November 14 PYP season opener at the Arlene Schnitzer, during her visit Gwenyth will lead a guitar master class where she will work with advanced, local guitar students!

This Master Class is FREE to attend (registration encouraged). Attendees will also receive 50% off tickets to Gwenyth’s recital on 11/13 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, as well as 50% off tickets to the 11/14 PYP Concert at the Arlene Schnitzer where Gwenyth will take center stage performing Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez.
