The Dobbes Family Estate’s New Charitable Wine Supports PYP!
Posted on July 1, 2016

For a limited time, the Dobbes Family Estate will donate 10% of the proceeds from the sales of their 2012 Meyer Vineyard Pinot Noir to Portland Youth Philharmonic. Buy, sip, and help support PYP!
Cellar Master Josh Morrison selected PYP as the Dobbes Charitable Giving Program’s featured charity. The program is structured to give Dobbes winery employees the ability to support a charity near and dear to their hearts. Each quarter, a different employee has the opportunity to select a cause that has special meaning to them. During that quarter, Dobbes will feature a select wine in the tasting room and donate 10% of its sales to the chosen charity.
Josh Morrison on Why He Chose PYP:
“I have worked at Dobbes for 6 years and work on the wine making team. The charity I have selected is Portland Youth Philharmonic. For my entire life my two great passions have been music and wine. Growing up my grandmother was a music teacher, my mother a drummer, and my father a doo-wop singer, music was a constant in my house. I began piano at the age of 4, cello at the age of 11, bass at 14, and guitar at 15 all of which I play to this day. For me music has always been a way to express the inexpressible.”
