Facebook Live Stream of Beethoven’s 5th Celebrates David Hattner’s 10 Years as PYP’s Conductor

PORTLAND, OR – Hearing is believing! Portland’s locally-grown orchestra since 1924 will celebrate David Hattner’s tenth season as Musical Director with a Facebook live stream of a free Preview Concert featuring Beethoven’s 5th on Monday, November 6, 2017. The 7:30 PM performance will take place in the Skyview Auditorium in the Salmon Creek neighborhood of North Vancouver and the public is invited free of charge.

Hattner and Portland Youth Philharmonic’s exceptional musicians are shaking up the classical music experience this season with no ticket fees and a super welcoming atmosphere. PYP officially opens its 94th concert season on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 7:30 PM, with Beethoven’s 5th in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Tickets for that night range from $5 to $60, and are on sale now on the PYP website. Students of any age can attend any PYP performance for just $5.
