Portland Youth Philharmonic & BRAVO Youth Orchestras Performing Free Side-By-Side Concert

For the second year, Portland Youth Philharmonic’s Young String Ensemble will present a free side-by-side concert with the members of BRAVO Youth Orchestras’ Vivaldi String Orchestra on Sunday, February 19, 2017, 3:00 PM at Wieden+Kennedy (224 NW 13th Ave., Portland, OR 97209).

“Portland Youth Philharmonic has a great interest in the work done by BRAVO,” says PYP Musical Director David Hattner. “They are putting instruments in the hands of young people who might not ordinarily have that opportunity. They are one of the most important new musical organizations in Oregon. We hope to continue partnering with them for years to come.”

Highlights include Antonio Vivaldi‘s Concerto in D, Franz Schubert‘s Symphony No. 8, and Pharrell Williams’ Happy. The performance is sponsored in part by the Multnomah County Cultural Coalition, the Oregon Cultural Trust, and is free to attend.
